Abstract:
Language and communication are vital in all aspects of life and are particularly significant with regard to health care. The importance of language reveals itself not only in the communication of the illness by the patient to the provider, but also in the language of the disorder itself. The words chosen and the clarity of communication between a provider and patient can mean the difference between life and death. Keywords:
