Abstract:

In discussing what works, and more importantly, what works best, this article proposes to do three things, to: • Provide a brief overview of where the field of reentry is, particularly with regard to promoting evidence-based practice;• Suggest a new approach we, in community corrections, might consider in addressing the issues associated with prisoner reentry; and • Describe what the Prisoner Reentry Institute is doing to move that new approach forward.
