Abstract:

Reviews three books: The first, Working with Involuntary Clients, outlines an integrated invention that is evidence based and evolves from the author’s research. It describes the involuntary client, assesses what works, discusses roles, and examines prosocial and problem-solving mechanisms. In the second book, Understanding Crime Statistics , a number of contributors assess the problem of crime statistics and assist the lay person in understanding how to make the most of the data. The third book, Key Issues in Criminal Career Research , draws our attention to career criminal issues emerging from the Cambridge Study of Delinquent Development, a longitudinal study of 411 South London youth up until they reached the age of 40. This is an interesting study, and it is useful that Immarigeon has drawnour attention to it.
