Abstract: 

Part I of the article outlines the Stanford University sexual assault case involving victim “Emily Doe” and assailant Brock Turner, and describes the new law. Part II, to follow in an upcoming issue of SLR, discusses the recusal of the presiding judge and elaborates on the challenges of punishing campus sexual assault offenders.
