Abstract: 

Traumatic brain injuries and other brain abnormalities play a significant role in violent and criminal behavior. This article focuses primarily on one of the possible outcomes—sexually offensive or offending behaviors. There is a range of these sexual behaviors, including rude or out-of-context sexual comments, exhibitionism, and sexual assaults. The author briefly introduces the basics of brain function, then examines in detail how trauma can affect behavior when specialized areas of the brain are damaged.
