Abstract:

For years, the Children’s Home of Cincinnati has employed the Teaching-Family Model (TFM) in working with youth ranging in age from new-born to 22 who are experiencing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Recently, they began incorporating mindfulness— “a moment-to-moment awareness of one’s experience without judgement”—in ways that are producing remarkable results with clients, and in deepening staff engagement and job satisfaction.
