Abstract:

Scott Alexander committed suicide in the Monroe County (Pa.) jail and the lower court found no deliberate indifference by any of the defendants. In Alexander v. Monroe Co., 734 Fed. Appx. 801 (3rd Cir. 2018), the court of appeals upheld the district court. The entire case, for and against plaintiffs, turns on Alexander’s vulnerability to suicide.
