Abstract:
This article is based on a joint program conducted by the Witness Justice Project and the GlassBook Project ( www. GlassBookProject.org ) and associated with Rutgers University, a state institution that is part of the New Jersey system of higher education. The purpose of this joint project is to address the trauma associated with intimate partner violence (IPV) on U.S. college campuses. The GlassBook Project was conceived by an artist named Nick Kline, who partnered with the Witness Justice program at Rutgers University–Newark campus. Mr. Kline created glass sculptures that depict feelings resulting from IPV. The sculptures are a means for victims of IPV to express themselves, and they serve to provoke feelings in all those who view them. Keywords: Witness Justice Project; Date rape; Feminist Majority Foundation’s Choices; Rutgers University; Cultural Factors
