Abstract:

In this article, Bogue and his colleagues examine the concepts of “training and coaching” as they apply to evidence-based practice interventions. Bogue states that, “Training and coaching enables line staff to better refer and support offenders into EBP interventions, where line staff, having done frontend assessments, are in a superior position to help coach and support offenders in using new skills to address their criminogenic needs.” Bogue explains the issues at hand, and how coaching and training mitigates these problems.
