Abstract:
Project Extra Mile has worked for 10 years to solidify a working relationship with law enforcement for a more effective community approach to preventing underage drinking. These partnerships have been the cornerstone to a larger effort and, frankly, to the success the group has experienced across Nebraska. In the hope that other communities might gain knowledge from our experience, this article will share the importance of enforcement in preventing underage drinking, discuss the role of the community advocate, and provide a snapshot of our community today.Keywords: Project Extra Mile; The Nebraska State Patrol; Omaha;
