Abstract:

Everyone acknowledges that something has to be done about campus drinking—there are approximately 1,800 alcohol-related deaths on campus, and many time that number of alcohol-related injuries annually. The following article covers just some of the many issues raised in the Guide: “Environmental Strategies to Prevent Alcohol Problems on College Campuses,” prepared by the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation. The Guide can be used to raise awareness of the seriousness of alcohol use on campus and to help in the selection of the most effective prevention strategies.
