Abstract:

College and university students should have and do have considerable freedom in their activities. However, freedom has its limitations. At times, universities have to impose disciplinary measures for conduct that seriously affects the academic integrity of the school or the health and safety of members of the university community. Although students have off-campus lives that are separate from the university community, certain types of off-campus activities have a direct effect on the university and can be subject to regulation or disciplinary action.
