Abstract:
The Department of Justice has issued proposed guidelines implementing legislation (Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act, Section 1601 of Pub. L. No. 106- 86) that requires sex offenders to notify states when they enroll or become employed at an institution of higher education. States also must now contact law enforcement agencies having jurisdiction where the institution is located.
