Abstract:

In October 2000, Congress passed the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act of 2000. Section 1601 of the legislation, the Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act, requires all states to begin collecting information from sexually violent offenders, including information regarding whether they are employed, carry on a vocation, or are a student at an institution of higher education and any changes regarding their enrollment or employment status.
