Abstract: 

On January 28, 1997, Mark Davidson, a tenured professor of journalism at California State University at Dominguez Hills was indicted in federal court on one count of violating 18 U.S.C. § 2252(a)(4)(B). The statute provides that anyone possessing materials involving the visual depiction of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct shall be fined or imprisoned or both.
