Abstract:
Data on 110 incarcerated adult sex offenders was examined to see if there was any correlation between trait anger and type and level of aggression used in committing sex offenses. All 110 subjects from Queensland, Australia, were given the assignment of completing a study called the State Trait Anger Expression Inventory (STAXI). The STAXI measures the propensity of a person to experience angry emotions, the transient emotional state of anger, and the reactions to perceived criticism or unfair treatment. Keywords:
