Abstract: 

Assessing Risk for Sexual Recidivism: Some Proposals on the Nature of Psychologically Meaningful Risk Factors by Ruth E. Mann, R. Karl Hanson, and David Thornton. Given the important role the prediction of sexual recidivism plays in formulating sound sex offender law and policy, it is imperative to understand the risk factors that inform such predictions. The “presence of negative social influences is also one of the strongest predictors of general criminal recidivism.”
