Abstract: 

The Government Accountability Office has looked at a number of issues financial institutions have encountered regarding customer identification procedures under the USA PATRIOT Act. The report concerning these issues, USA PATRIOT Act: Additional Guidance Could Improve Implementation of Regulations Related to Customer Identification and Information Sharing Procedures, was released in May 2005.
