Abstract: 

Julia Weber, Implementation Director for the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence, examines two important developments affecting guns and domestic violence: the recently enacted and signed Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, which closes the “boyfriend” loophole; and the Supreme Court’s decision in Bruen, voiding part of New York’s 109-year-old public carry licensing law requiring that applicants show “proper cause” to obtain a full license to carry.
