Abstract:

Oregon’s first university-based elder abuse course was held August 2004, at Portland State University through the Women’s Studies Department. About 50 students attended the weekend-intensive course, including two law enforcement officers who signed up because of a personal interest in elder abuse. This article, summarizing the course’s content, was written by its instructor.
