Abstract:

APS is the “backbone” of services that exist to protect vulnerable adults and elderly in this country. Although APS has now existed for over 30 years, “it does not appear that any of adult protective services activities, including triage, investigation, and service planning and delivery, have ever been evaluated.” (National Academy of Science, Elder Abuse and Mistreatment 126 (2003).) This article covers a recent attempt to do so.
