Abstract:

In fall 2012, Generations, the journal of the American Society on Aging, followed their summer issue, devoted to the financial exploitation of elders, with an issue devoted to other types of elder abuse. For advocates and scholars in the field of elder abuse, the entire issue is worth reading, but several articles standout as particularly critical, among them “An Update on the Nature and Scope of Elder Abuse”, by Georgia J. Antezberger. 36 Generations 12 (Fall 2012), and “Policy Implications of Recognizing That Caregiver Stress Is Not the Primary Cause of Elder Abuse”, by Bonnie Brandl and Jane A. Raymond, 36 Generations 32 (Fall 2012)
