Abstract: 

The Senate Special Committee on Aging held a hearing in February 2015, examining the issue of financial abuse of the elderly, with particular focus on the financial exploitation of the elderly by family members and trusted others and programs that have been developed to detect and combat these crimes. This summary of the hearing outlines the most urgent needs of law enforcement and protective services in preventing and addressing financial fraud against elders.
