Abstract:
Both intervention and punishment ideologies are driving forces in contemporary American policy regarding juvenile crime. Two salient questions arise from this dual policy direction. First, can the efficacy of these policy directions toward juvenile desistance from crime be determined? Second, docs either policy direction undermine the efficacy of the other toward juvenile desistance from crime? Both of these questions are addressed in this piece. Keywords: best practices
