Abstract:
This article provides a brief history of electronic monitoring technology, discusses the applied uses of the technology in monitoring programs, and then explores some of the legal issues that have been faced by the administrators of these programs. The conclusion offers strategies for administrators and planners to assist them in avoiding the legal and administrative pitfalls that can be associated with these programs.Keywords: electronic monitoring
