Abstract:
This article details the potential implications of three widespread problems that exist in community justice programs. These problems are: The recruitment and selection of citizen volunteers; the reconfigured courtroom workgroup and selection of “suitable” offenders; and that the negotiated program requirements for offenders that produce disparities is also characteristic of indeterminate sentencing policies in traditional criminal justice.Keywords: restorative justice
