Abstract:

In late September last year, several short weeks after the September 11th terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, a few hundred community corrections administrators, practitioners, and researchers convened in the suburbs of Philadelphia for the 9th annual International Community Corrections Association (ICCA) research conference. The topic of the gathering was “What Works: Offenders’ Reintegration and Reentry Into the Family.” In this piece, Immarigeon summarizes the six major presentations of the conference.
