Abstract:
Free Inside is a yoga, meditation, and chi gung program at Maui Community Correctional Center in Hawaii. Free Inside assists positive rehabilitative change in inmates at the facility. This article describes the results of a recent research study of the efficacy of the program. The project presents both quantitative and qualitative findings which suggest program structures that can optimize the effects of prison yoga and meditation programs.Keywords: yoga; mediation; chi gung
