Abstract:
At one time, computer and Internet monitoring may have been viewed as a specialized supervision strategy geared specifically for the cyber-criminal, but, as technology becomes more advanced, so does the average offender on probation and parole. Agencies must therefore become more creative in their approach to delivering supervision to a growing population of offenders. This article discusses the prevalence of Internet crime, as well as key factors that must be consideredbefore agencies implement a computer and Internet monitoring program. Keywords: United States v.
