Abstract:
Noah’s Law is a new MADD initiative that seeks to replace state license suspension laws with mandatory ignition interlocks. The effort is named for and dedicated to Officer Noah Leotta, a Montgomery County Maryland police officer killed by a driver who had been drinking for four hours at a restaurant just before the crash.Keywords: leading killer on the nation’s roadways; ignition interlock requirement; license suspension; first-time offenders
