Abstract: 

The United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals heard arguments on October 4 concerning a suit brought by a former student at Eastern Michigan University. The student, Julea Ward, was kicked out of the school’s graduate counseling program after she refused, on religious grounds, to counsel a gay student. On June 13, 2011, Catholic University President John Garvey announced in a Wall Street Journal opinion piece that CU would be moving back to single-sex dorms due to the rise of binge drinking and “hooking up”. University of North Carolina Updates Social Media Policies in Wake of NCAA Probe. Ban on Religion-Based Membership Policies Upheld. Alpha Delta Chi, a Christian sorority, and Alpha Gamma Omega, a Christian fraternity, operate chapters on the campus of San Diego State University in California.
