Abstract:

In October 2000, Congress passed the Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act as part of larger legislation addressing a variety of sexual crimes. The Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act required states to modify their sexual offender registration programs to identify those individuals who were college students or employees and required sharing of this information with the respective institutions. This article addresses state and institution requirements under the new law.
