Abstract:

In the previous issue of CS&SD (Sept./ Oct. 2003), John Allen introduced the work of Doug Koski on risk factors associated with sexual assault. The article, titled “A New Look at Rape Prevention,” makes important points about risk factors for sexual assault from the perspective of individual women (i.e. potential victims) and the larger environment. This article discusses the issue that rape prevention should be focused on men and that there must be a better understanding of the effect alcohol has on rape.
