Abstract: 

This article discusses how college judicial officers can deal with students who not only violate institutional rules but also the laws of the community or state. It addresses the advantages and dangers of handling various situations in certain ways, such as expelling a student based solely on a criminal conviction, or punishing a student for an off-campus offense.
