Abstract:
We know more today about how to change criminal behavior than ever before. The implementation of evidence-based practice will be a paradigm shift that undoubtedly will require agency self-reflection and self-adjustment. This shift will require a change in organizational cultures that have, for some staff, supported a “them versus us” approach to their work. This shift will, instead, necessitate a well-crafted collaborative implementation strategy: a strategy that fosters the development of a core set of shared values and beliefs that support a vision and mission of recidivism reduction and increased public safety. Keywords:
