Abstract:
In a recent private letter ruling, the IRS determined that a district judge in an unidentified state court would not be a “government official” for purposes of the self-dealing rules. Soon thereafter, however, it reconsidered the issue and notified the judge that it was revoking the ruling.Keywords:
