Abstract:

Despite much concern with the risk assessment and risk prediction of sexual recidivism, there has been limited empirical research examining the efficacy of specific risk management strategies for high-risk sex offenders re-entering the community. Generating policy- and practice-relevant findings in this vital area of sex offender management requires researchers and practitioners to jointly develop evaluative approaches that respond to both operational realities and scientific rigor.
