Abstract: 

The last Washington Report column provided updates on the Elder Justice Act and the Elder Justice Coalition, discussed bills that were introduced in the early months of 2005, and contained information about reauthorization of the Older Americans Act and the 2005 White House Conference on Aging. This column does the same and also covers bills introduced later in 2005, and pertinent regulations and hearings that were held late in the year. Pertinent provisions of the federal FY2006 budget will be discussed in the next Washington Report column
