Abstract: 

The last Washington Report column provided updates on the Elder Justice Act and the Elder Justice Coalition, as well as information about reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, pending reauthorization of the Older Americans Act, the 2005 White House Conference on Aging, the status of bills introduced in 2005, and pertinent regulations. This column does largely the same thing, but also discusses bills introduced in the first four months of 2006 and relevant hearings held during that time frame.
