Abstract:
This article is a first-person account of a phenomenon the author has observed in her practice, and which reinforces the national trend that one-third of the perpetrators in substantiated APS cases during 2003 were adult children who abused or neglected elderly parents. She discusses the conflicts and ensuing problems that this causes, and the further problems it causes interventionists.Keywords: adult children who abuse elderly parents; problems for interventionists
