Abstract: 

The results of a $438,054 National Institute of Justice (NIJ) study of elder abuse were recently released. The study’s primary goal was to examine the risk factors and protective behaviors that affect the course of elder] abuse over time, as well as the role of the police in preventing subsequent abuse.
