Abstract:

Given the prevalence and clinical correlates of co-occurring disorders among adolescents, accurate identification and assessment of these disorders is crucial for the development of effective treatment interventions and the reduction of criminal recidivism. This article looks at one such instrument, which uses responses from the Practical Adolescent Dual Diagnostic Interview (PADDI), to analyze the prevalence of co-occurring disorders in two juvenile facilities in Maine.
