Abstract: 

This issue of “Worth Reading” reviews “Results From a Multi-Site Evaluation of the G.R.E.A.T Program” by Finn-Aage Esbensen, Dana Peterson, Terrance Taylor, and D. Wayne Osgood 29(1) Justice Quarterly (2012) 125-151. The Gang Resistance Education and Training (G.R.E.A.T) Program was designed by law enforcement in Phoenix, AZ and has spread across the U.S. The program aims to teach youth how to avoid gangs, to prevent violence, and to help develop positive relationships with law enforcement.
