Abstract:

This article explores the feasibility of inter-agency collaboration for a national conference on conflict resolution, bias prevention, restorative justice, community-based mediation, and peacemaking. The authors saw tremendous potential in the vision of collaborating for mutual sustainability as well as important benefits to practitioners, communities, and the field. In this case, the players were able to take a bold step together, but needed a fresh leadership team to follow-up on the promising ideas and recommendations from the Call to Action. The authors explain this undertaking and how the work of the collaborative has generated potential pathways for others to explore.
