Abstract:

A complex set of factors has propelled the growth of the religion-criminology conversation that is currently taking place around the country on many different levels. Researchers have also responded to the reemergence of religion as a factor that requires explicit consideration in the development of the penal system. O’Connor and Duncan examine the relationship between religion and the penal system and suggest future directions for the role of faith in correctional settings.
