Abstract: 

Despite our enhanced understanding of behavioral modification through decades of research, change remains a slow and difficult process. With less and less money available for research and treatment and greater pressure from HMOs to fund evidence-based practices, “technology transfer” is of the utmost importance. Technology transfer in the broadest sense means “creating a mechanism by which a desired change is accepted, incorporated and reinforced at all levels of an organization or system. This piece highlights one organization’s readiness and ability to properly incorporate new and effective prison practices.
