Abstract: 

The origins and successes of the Massachusetts Bail Fund—from gaining the release of people being held jail prior to trial, to advocacy work for legislative changes to eliminate cash bail and institute administrative reforms to bail data collection, and sponsored workshops on bail reform and pretrial services—the Fund is emerging as a model to follow.
