Abstract: 

Reviews include: “Randomized Trial of Group Music Therapy With Chinese Prisoners: Impact on Anxiety, Depression, and Self-Esteem” examines the effectiveness of a music therapy intervention with regard to improving mental health outcomes. “A Randomized Clinical Trial of Family Therapy in Juvenile Drug Court” conducted a randomized controlled trial to look specifically at the treatment issue in order to determine whether multidimensional family therapy (MDFT) is more effective than adolescent group treatment (AGT) with regard to reducing drug use and offending among juvenile drug court participants. “Nursing Case Management, Peer Coaching, and Hepatitis A and B Vaccine Completion Among Homeless Men Recently Released on Parole: Randomized Clinical Trial” evaluated the effectiveness of three treatment conditions on drug use and recidivism outcomes for parolees who are homeless. “Adaptation of the Texas Implementation Medication Algorithm for Bipolar Disorder in Adult Female Offenders” assesses whether this type of medication management would be effective in treating women with bipolar disorder in an incarcerated setting when compared to treatment as usual (TAU).
