Abstract: 

The Ninth circuit applies the Sell test when a defendant diagnosed with schizophrenia is prescribed antipsychotic medication with the goal of restoring him to competency before his trial. A good review for the informed and a splendid primer for those who are newcomers to the issue of forced medication for trial competency.
