Abstract:
Teaching a teenager how to drive can be one of the most frustrating and frightening experiences of a parent’s life. Seemingly overnight, children go from one of the safest modes of transportation—school buses—to driving themselves, ushering in the most dangerous time of teens’ lives. Car crashes are the leading cause of death for teens. Keywords: GDL; lower-risk driving environments; parental supervision; distractions; peer passengers; HEARTS Network
